Freedom's Spirit

At first it seems like an abstract personification of "Freedom" but on deeper level it sings the tale of a person who cannot stay in a commited relationship.

Freedom's Spirit

On the free standing cliff
The air whips around me
The ocean water below
Birds calling over the Sea

The sky is bright
Rivers run clear blue
The sun shines cleansing light
The meadows sparkle with dew

A wind spirit mine is
Tamed by no one's hand
Withers away in a cage
Cannot be bound by the land

I dance in the air
I swim in the sea
I run through the forests
A joyful sight to see

My heart is light
For I am free
Tied down to none
And no one tied to me

Hm, pretty and wistful... No, not pretty... Beautiful. I love the word choice, the flow was smooth and the ending was wonderful... i loved this very much.

I agree with Seth quite well written. Inspiring and bringing to mind a youthfull freedom I often long for.
