how many times in a persons life
will they look up to see the end
and where do they go to rest
when resting is all that is left

Just to find when they reach the gate
A hand from behind gently nudges
saying, "love has changed it's mind,
love has a duty yet for your life."

There is peace and tranquility on the other side
testing and turmoil spread wide on this side
death bows to the grips of lasting love
to return this one to a place to better serve

used and abused by love wanting the end
sent back into the arms of another needy one
what do they want of me this one cries
did I not just die for a love untrue

Then came a voice from where who knows
saying this love is here to save you this time
this is your turn for forever love
she will hold you through and love you long

So hear my prayer oh goddess mine
I thank you for the challenge you send
and goddess mine, for her true love
to weather me through the nights

my challenge is clear now, to show the mighty
to teach and nurture the weak of life
That your truth and power
will alone judge in the end
