Author's note: Sometimes, my mind goes to very strange places (as you've no doubt noticed)...
The Source
Void was all--deep, black, suffocating
null space/null time/null dimension,
for continuum was naught;
the matrix of space unborn...
All was void--no matter was,
to warp space, give birth to time;
no energy was, to wind infinity to entropy;
naught was,
for void was null absolute...
Void was presence, and presence was;
sentience absolute was void--
Presence spoke, and presence was word;
continuum/space/time warped and was matrix,
and matrix was dimension,
for word was photon, and
photon was particle/light;
and the light was good...

This kind of reminds me of a poem I wrote a while back. It wasn't as good as this but still. Anyway, I love the line, "the matrix of space unborn..."
