A tall oak tree,branches stretched high above,
one day was host to a singing dove.
Which came to rest on one of its limbs,
this is what the dove did sing.
I have flown high above the earth,
I have swept low over its dirt.
I have beheld the beauty of creation from on high,
an indescribable marvel to my eyes.
And have beheld beauty on earth,
a few feet above the ground,
on a tree born perch.
Having flown east,south,north and west,
I have seen what is best.
God sent me free from his hand above,
to find the greatest beauty,which is love.
God is pleased when our flights to him turn,
for love is the greatest lesson
we can ever learn.
So the dove will fly forevermore,
over distant lands,to peaceful shores.
And back again to familiar ground,
Gods love forever will abound.
