Apprentice
In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

Stygian Shore
Fog drifts in;
cold grey heavy mantle
on the sea;
softening the murmur of the waves
`till only cries of a lonely gull
touch the coming night
and bid it welcome...
Light fades,
a dying soul giving way
to eternal nights seen solely
by ethereal beings
who have taken the path by the sea...
Now,
only the soothing whisper
of waves greets the night;
the gull sleeps at sea
surrendered to the darkness...

This reminds me of Tolkien lore where the elves travel over the sea to Valinor.
