Fractured

[Eclipse]

The earthquake is happening, and the rupture’s bleeding fast.
Can’t you see my heart is breaking in my eyes?
I’m trying to stifle everything, and make the moment last.
Don’t you go and turn away, away from all my cries.

I know that you’re not fixing on coming back to here.
And I can see my reflection, tears slip down my face.
You try to tell me things are fine, in hearts that we are near.
My stare flickers and I turn down eyes to hide disgrace.

The lump in my throat tears in two, like this heart.
f*ck who ever said ignorance was bliss.
Please don’t, do stay. Let’s not fall apart.
The lingering trace of your taste, our last parting kiss.

And your fingers slip through mine, I grasp them for embrace.
You’re leaving and your footsteps; behind you, they resound.
Fracture my being and this soul, there’s too much to displace.
I’m not sure how to live six feet underground.

btw- this isn't about anyone, including me...just a random inspiration that i let take over. i always get something weird when that happens...haha well it's not too bad. heh ^.^

Quite deep actually, it reminds me of the fact that once you give your heart and invest time and emotion in keeping a relationship going then it's hard to let go.
