at night alone I wake to silhouettes on the walls of ghosts pointing empty sleeves
I sit up startled at my own shadow as the rumpled sheets map
the peaks and valleys of my life illuminating parts of me I want so much to forget
sleep, a stranger, forces me to view into a giant chasm with no end in sight only miles of regret using up all that I am
I turn to face my mortality grasping pieces that try to fly away as my spirit is challenged to an infinite depth
putting my courage on display I become stronger at the broken places
no longer allowing yesterday to use up anymore of my tomorrows

Wow, I love your style of writing. This is beautiful in all its tragic gloom. it really captures my attention and yearns to be read. Awesome flow and wording, nevada, this is stunning.
