becomes naught but a garden
of rancid perverison
embracing eagerly
the mating of barbed wire
and serpentine desecration
when he looks away

the sensual lips
that speak warmly of comfort
harbor only the translations of demons
making love to a language
of withered roses and dying breath
when he falls silent

the curve of an ear
that listens to the faintest whisper
is subjected to the keening gurgles of angels
falling like rain from the sky
crying of death and singing of fear
when the world stills

the artists hands
that steal away breath and tears
are helpless but to paint vistas
of mutilation
crimson laughter and blackened rage
dripping into the stream of life
like disease through a population
when his fingers find his scars

the perfect soul sighing of
light's redemption and power
breaks easily beneath the blissful insight
that only darkness's jaded passion can impart
he gravitates toward the torture, toward his ghosts
lusting after his innocence that lays sighing
in his blood a few paces away
discovering forbidden pleasures and dreams of heaven
when he remembers to breathe

Completely mind-blowing. Truly, this was worded incredibly well and so engrossing and terrifically structured.
A true poem of utter perfection.
The last stanza was my fav though, this whole piece was sheer excellence.
