Clawing my way to the top
I struggle to catch a breath of air
trapped within the walls of my heart
searching for an escape out of here

Alone again in my pit of sorrow
crying nothing but worthless tears
once again I find myself wondering
how long will I be left weeping here

I'm tugging at every stone
trying so hard to find some way to get out
to free myself from the prison of my soul
yet all my efforts are in vain...

For I find no route, no path
I've tried over and over again
so hard my hands have been bled dry
