friends look at her and see someone.
strangers look at her and see something
she looks at herself and sees nothing.
friends see someone kind.
strangers see something lost.
she sees nothing.
friends see a shining light.
strangers see piercing darkness.
she sees nothing.
no matter what people see, she sees nothing.
she always feels so empty and alone,
wandering lost through darkness.
so few can see the passion in her words
or the love that is in her heart,
not ever her, cuz she sees nothing.
they refuse to accept
and they refuse to understand,
so they won’t have to care.
no gives her a chance, not even herself,
because she doesn’t feel she has anything to offer,
especially since she sees nothing inside herself.
friends see her as unique.
strangers see her as weird.
she sees nothing.
friends see her as needy.
strangers see her as annoying.
she sees nothing.
friends see life.
strangers see death.
she sees nothing.
