*This poem is also about my high school closing down (reference Tragedy forum) and this one is more of a depression thing than tragedy.
Spectre 4/2/04
So many things I've lost with time things I'll probably never get back just knowing that you were still there was a shell of security nothing could crack
But one morning I awoke to a seemingly beautiful day and was told something that hurt and had nothing left to say
My secure haven was destroyed torn in two and tossed aside as memories, bad and good, arose something inside me cried
I cried for the students and teachers I cried for the doors, opened no more I cried for memories that would be lost and watched ast he tears fell to the floor
Pain is a cloud hovering above the building we find so dear we cling to one another for strength as we shed on last tear

This is so sad, I loved my high school and would hate if anything like that happened to it. Very good write Kris.

This was indeed very sad. I didn't attend school enough to like it. I wouldn't have liked it if I had. School wasn't my favorite thing in the world. However, I can feel your pain through this piece. Very well written Kris.
Great Job, Tj

oh don't get me wrong...i hated high school and most of the people in it...its just something so sentimental, something you never really figure you'd lose, cuz it's always there, and to have it be shut down just hurts...thanks for the replies!
