I'm drenched by the rain As I'm flooded with pain My face is soaked and wet My hair is a mess And so is my life So full of strife And a heart filled with hurt As I scream back at thunder Rain splashes all in my face So cold and so uncaring It slaps my cheeks so hard And soaks my clothes Mixing with my tears The rain reminds me of fears I slip and I fall Face first in the mud Everyone laughs At my pitiful expense I'm drowned in sorrow And sick humiliation Covered in shame Drenched by the rain

Interesting write... Love the description of the rain in this and about your own feeling of embarassment too. Wonderful and something I can relate to.

i also really enjoyed the take on rain you have in this piece...rain is such a diverse thing...for some reason it can bring about so many emotions...and this is one of the most common for me...great job kelly!

The use of pathetic fallacy in this pieace is indeed rather good, wonderful descriptions mixed with raw emotions. Nicely written ^_^
