I stood there in the middle of the crowd
with faceless strangers chanting "shame, shame, shame"
as you continue to point out every flaw I have
laughter erupting at every mention of my name
yet I just stood there, smiling sadly at you
letting you ridicule me with words of cruelty
I remained silent as I took them all in
hoping my silence will restore your love for me
but I was wrong about that, I guess
it only made you angry and demand me to shed tears
an so I did, in front of all the people, I wept
pouring every tear I've held onto for all these years
Because sometimes its difficult not to cry
the tears pile up and fall down my eyes
cascading down my soul, they tear up my heart
with your words ringing through my ears, "my words were mere lies"
So now all that can keep me sane are my tears
forever I will have tem as company
for they are ghosts that haunt my being
reminding me of the day you stopped loving me
