Why do both the new and old post icons look exactly the same? There's really no point in having them if they are identical.. Defeats the whole purpose of knowing when there is a new post or not..

Most people just look at the date the write was posted. I'm not clear on the whole design scheme. I am more of a hands on Admin rather than a graphic designer. Most of our site work is done through outside graphic artists. You'd have to ask John more about that area... Good question though...sorry I couldn't help more, Tj

if you go into your admin settings and check out the custom board images page you will notice that there are two spots where you can customize the folders.. the first two(along the top in this box) should be for the new and old post icons. it would be a good idea to have the first one animated or stand-outish somehow so that members can see when a new post has been made in that particular board.
not sure if im being clear enough. let me know if i need to explain further.
its really not needed to have the two images different, juts makes things quicker. *shrugs*

That is true leash, but I believe the guys are using the flaming phoenix as a symbol at this point...I guess the future shall reveal if they intend to change it...
