Interesting. I'm not sure whether or not it's controversial or not but, it'll sit fine for now.

cussing gets rid of the toxins in your system.... works wonders for me...this is a wonderful piece...it shows a great resilience, in that you wouldn't allow that person to bother you! great job!

Wait a minute....
So it's ok to be a Christian and swear? I am not being a smart-ass, I am asking a legitiment question. I am just wondering how you rationalize that.

cussing gets rid of the toxins in your system.... works wonders for me... I am just wondering how that works is all. I know I sem to come across aggresive. But I truly don't mean to. It's just the way I talk, always have talked this way. I tend to step on ppl's toes alot. I am in no way offended or anything, just wondering...

ok for example. Which one seems more intense?:
1) Why are you so mean to me? I hate you You dont even care about how I feel You dont even care about me I cant stop thinking about you Why dont you just leave?
2) You are so mean to me f*ck you I f*ckin hate you You dont even care how I feel You dont care about me I cant stop thinking of you So eat sh*t and f*ckin leave
They are both intense I guess, but I see 2 as more intense because when people get angry, they tend to go on a different track of mind, and they start cussing. It is a form of expression....nothing to do really with christianity...nobody is perfect, you cant be an angel every day of your life....you cant be 100% perfect....some days you need to vent it all out. Ya know? Or am I digging myself into a hole?

3. Why are you so mean to me? f*ck you I hate you You dont even care about how I feel You dont even care about me I cant stop thinking about you, f*ck Why dont you just leave?
Alright, This gets the point across nicely. I actualy do not enjoi swearing and I understand that using it can emphazise certain parts of the write, however, profanity also shows a lack of thought. Anyone can curse, but a true genius finds his words ellegantly, and uses them so.
I was confused because I thought that Light could not mix with Darkness... It was my undertanding that Christian ment Christ-like, of course you can't be an angel, but aren't you supposed to be a representitive of Jesus? I understand that everyone needs to vent, but why not vent to your god? Why not pray and tell him whats on your mind? I am sure that when you go and do something like this, you hurt him.
Someone explained to me that God was actualy your father. Well, my dad I told everything. No matter what it was, no matter what he thought. Because when I was young I needed his council. But now I consult different things. When my old man realixed that I was leaving the house now, and that I had my wife to confide in, he was hurt. He knew that this time would come but, it is still sad to lose that part of your life.
So, If God is your father, then you are his children, and that means that he should know everything that is going on in your life. He should be the one to hear your frustrations, not us. Because who are we that we are to hear your thoughts before God?

You have a very nice point KG. But if that were the case...then I would never talk again. I would no longer need to speak another word in my life.
Yes I know swearing may minimize your intellegence. But where is the line on where it should be used or not...is there one? If you are calling people these names...then i could understand...but using it as a form of exression, isn't that just hollow words? Maybe it is to me, I rarely swear, and when I do, its a big deal to me because that truly means I am ticked off. So maybe everyone just looks at swearing and the extent to that swearing in different ways.

You have a good point. However the bible says that ignorance is no excuse, so if that is the case and you are looking profanity in the wrong light you have sinned and seperated yourself from God. It would be very prudent for christians to quit wondering and to go and read, study, and find out for a fact. It is all right there in front of you guys. I know that being spoon-fed the Word is a particulary easy way to learn, but, you should truly go and meditate on the things that you don't know or understand. Instead of rationalizing it. I don't know if there is a line, that's why I am asking. It was my understanding that Christians where not to conform to the ways of this world. e.g. This world uses profanity and it is accepted, therefore Christians should abhore it.
Our carnal minds can not comprehend the complexity of God. However our carnal minds can understand the simplicity of the bible.

angel, firstly, this was intense, i agree the swearing was effective, not overdone. good job. exploring new depths in your writing can be a profound experience or it can be a flop. secondly, personally i swear quite a lot in person, but rarely online unless i am truly truly agitated or astounded, which in itself is a rare occurence. i think i've only ever sworn thrice in my writing, but they were about rape and familial rejection. great work, i hope you explore your anger more... x rinna x

KG you are looking at all Christians as a stereotype...as in we all believe in the same thing, think the same thing, etc... But we dont. I have not once said I was a christian on here...you just assume because my name is "angel." Although the name "Christian" has been slapped on me since the day I was born...doesn't mean that I follow the bible...doesn't mean that I go to church every Sunday...all it means is that I am a Christian. Now, some people do follow the steps of being a Christian...BUT they all have different faith, different beliefs, we are all different people, with different minds...nobody is the same...so how can you speak to "Christians" like they are all the same? It has nothing to do with the label of being a Christian. Just because you have that label...doesnt mean you never ever sin and you are the best girl or boy in the world. Every person in this world explores faith in a different way and sees it in a different way.
And you are putting something little like swearing...saying that we are goody-two-shoes and shouldnt be doing that because it is against our religion.
You cant just not swear. The difference? Actually trying...if you actually try not to swear...then it is different. But that doesnt mean you will never swear...when you get mad, you are almost a different person...all of these emotions running through your head...and the only thing you could sensibly do to get that anger out and express it, is to swear.
Now I am done debating about this. You believe whatever you want to believe...all the power to you. Just quit looking at Christians all as one...its not like that.
