Fall on your face in front of your TV God always was your favorite station And I dont understand, but I want it anyway Material lead me on my merry way
Put on some more emotional pornagrophy, Lets all forget how we realy feel now!
C'mon God, do something for me... C'mon TV, do something for me... Where's your miracles? Where are our children going?
Oh! Mommy please pay attention to me, Why do you only seem to care what Oprah thinks? Your God only captivates and deceives, Turn on a soap so we can get clean...
Put on some more emotional pornogrophy, Lets all forget how we realy feel now!
C'mon God, do something for me... C'mon TV do something for me... Where's your miracles? Where are our children going?
Repeat and repeat... It never gets old for you... This is the way to live... This is who you should listen to... Marriage should be this way... And eating that is bad for you... Your not fat you're big boned... Your not a f*g your a homosexual...
Put on some more emotional pornogrophy, Lets all forget how we feel now!

Well I am glad that you 2 have enjoyed it. It realy wasn't meant to be aa object of praise lol, but I am glad that for the first time in my life people actualy enjoi reading the things that I create. Thank you, and please feel free to criticize. Half the fun of writing is discussing it afterwards!

I dunno why this made me laugh but it did. I like this piece. I'm a big fan of irony. Just some spelling mistakes... nothing major. deceives not decieves. You're not your.. in Your not fat your big boned... Your not a f*g your a homosexual...
This sounds more like a song... maybe coz of the repitition of Put on some more emotional pornogrophy, Lets all forget how we realy feel now!
My favorite line is: Turn on a soap so we can get clean...
LOVED IT.

no... you've misunderstood... I didn't mean that the spelling mistakes were ironic. What I meant was what you portrayed in your poem was irony.

I didn't get much meaning out of this but that is just me. Maybe it's the hunger for food that is making me stop thinking but either way I enjoyed reading it. Maybe later I'll find meaning in it but very nice write.

I especially enjoyed the third stanza. Oprah does seem to be taking over the world but only behind Barney and Martha Stewart. I've come to view television as a neccesary evil. We need it for information but it's mostly crap.

Lol.. I agree with you and what Silver Eyes said was definitely true. (Though, my mother and other family members worship Dr. Phil)
Definitely know how this feels, my mom and Grandmother just couldn't live without their -oh-so-real-soap operas... I also loved the last stanza a whole lot! A fantastic write, honestly no complaints.
