I see a bad girl.
She’s going to church.
Going to try to pray her way.
Pray her way into heaven
And for what its worth,
I see her praying every day.
She knows that she’s a sinner.
She’s thinking about some sin.
But first she needs to ask forgiveness.
So that heaven might let her in.
She prays for her alcoholic father
And for her illegitimate child.
A big thank you prayer for her loving mother.
Who never gave up hope all the while.
See that bad girl,
She’s coming out of church.
A smile as bright as day.
Tickets to heaven are found in church.
All you gotta do is pray.
She knows that she’s a sinner.
She ‘s about to do some sin.
But she spoke with God,
to clear her conscious,
So that heaven might let her in.
Her job is a spiritual bother.
But it pays well and feeds her child.
A big thank you prayer ,
for the body God gave her.
And the tricks of the trade.
She’s tricked for awhile.
