**This is another piece written in memory of my high school, which is closing down.
Flashback 4/2/04
Do you remember the first day when you came eager to meet the class Do you remember the acute relief of the test you thought you'd never pass
Do you remember nap time when we watched "Sesame Street" Do you remember the joy and laughter following a rival's defeat
Do you remember the "Rainbow Bright" record played while we made works of art Do you remember the prom scene that, miraculously, didn't fall apart
Do you remember recess where boys chase girls was fun Do you remember the elation when the last day of the year was done
Do you remember junior high when classes got so tough Do you remember the basketball games that got a little rough
Memories are the precious stones inside a diamond ring and as we look towards the future we try not to show our despairing
For behind us the past is drawing to close as we say good-bye to all we once knew But the memories of BHS will sustain us no matter what we have to do
**The last stanza still isn't set in stone, so if you have any suggestions as how to finish it better please feel free to do so
