So many times I get called a slut
By those very men who stare at my butt
They stare wide-eyed at my chest
They tell me I'm good and say I'm the best
But they are only thinking with their bottom head
All they want to do is get me in bed

I may be a bad girl, but I can be sweet
Candy and roses still knock me off my feet
I can be dumb, but I'm usually very smart
I have a deep soul and plenty of heart
I've won the game and I've took the cake
But I've also failed and made my share of mistakes
When I fall down and wear a sad frown
But then I take that frown and turn it upside down

I've been in love with someone before
And my heart's been broken and dropped on the floor
I may be a girl but I'm still a strong fighter
I can't light the whole world with just my lighter
But I can make someone's day just a little bit brighter

Some people hate me while others really love me
Why I'm the way I am is totally above me
But all I can do in life is just be myself everyday
And that's what I'll do, that's the only way

wonderful piece...i can especially relate to the first stanza...i mistakingly bought a webcam, so i could chat with my aunt and a couple of friends that are a faraway and actually see them and they can see how i'm doing and stuff....well...when men know you have a cam..lets just say you get a lot of jerks....but anyway
being as that's not the only message in this wonderful piece...i'd like to say...great job! can't wait to read some more of your stuff and it's very nice to see you again!

I agree with Kris, this is one of your best Kelly, it describes you well, and I too am so glad to see you here at Poet Club again, posting. Kelly was another one of our original members, although she didn't get to be a major part of it, she was an admin at Coffee House, so she's played an important role here to us. Great to have you back around Kel.

Indeed, i've read this before on the previous site and still i find it rather powerful. Very hard hitting and nicely laid out with a perfect ending.
