So Imperfect

I fight in times of forgiveness
I defend myself when I'm wrong
I cry in bouts of sadness
When there's nothing really wrong

I never focus when I need too
My attention spans been lost
I'm never truly honest
And I continually pay the cost

I push buttons when I shouldn't
Pushing people to the edge
I never completely change
I'm always caught just on the ledge

I never think quite past myself
Selfishness still reigns
And I'm never truly satisfied
Even when its all okay

My forgiveness won't come easy
Toward me or anyone else
Though I still must believe
That its alright to be myself

I'm secure in my imperfections
Confident in my flaws
For I am only human
And perfection isn't law
