You’re my hot cup of tea in the morning; You’re my first cigarette of the day; You’re my cucumber dip, Or a rocket ship Surfing the Milky Way.
You’re my breakfast in bed on Sunday; You’re my ironing tidied away; You’re my favourite treat, Or a clean toilet seat, Or a bill that I don’t have to pay
You’re the sun on my face in springtime; You’re my Mediterranean tan; You’re my very best hat, And on top of that, You’re my air conditioner’s fan.
You’re the scent of wild flowers in summer, The breeze through a woodland thicket; You’re my open top car, Or my tight push up bra, Or my winning lottery ticket.
You’re everything good that could happen To me in a lifetime on earth; You’re my sister, my lover, My child and my mother, And I love you – for what that is worth.

This was so sweet and beautiful, I love these romantic comparison poems. This one was written really well, I love the first stanza best.

Nice job Melis. I also enjoyed the rhythym. The word choice was also imperative to this piece. Yet again another signature piece. I don't see to many pieced like this come from you. This as really, really good. Great job, TJ
