other poetry sites?

im just curious as to how dedicated(and busy) we all are with poetry on the net.


i have somewhere between 7 and 10 poetry sites that i visit each night before bed on a regular basis. what about you guys?

i have one other site that i visit everyday...it is one that i started myself, and being the only admin gives me a lot of work to do, because college keeps me busy too!

only have one other.... and not that i visit there every night either... but i used to.... when i had the time. the poetry board at sparknotes... been registered there since 2000 i think... or was it 2001 ? dont remember... but yeah thats the place.... now days im mostly too busy and there was this time when i stopped writing all together (poetry that is - i didnt quit the books) for emotional and ethical reasons.... long story.


so yeah... thats the only place i can think of...

I have but one site I call home. My time and effort is spent here day in and day out as often as I can. Poet Club is a part of me and as such it has it's special place in my heart. I have been able to share myself with each of you great people through the creation of this site and I thank you all for the support that you have given us through it. Poet Club is me and I am Poet Club without it I would cease to exist in this unreal reality we call the internet. Of course that's just me.

hmm.. i agree that it would be very difficult to live my life without poetry, but i would not die due to an inability to enjoy it. i find it interesting that poetry means so much to you. i wouldnt really have a reason to go on the internet at all if it wasnt for poetry message boards and music..

also, i think you checked off the wrong option(there are no votes for "only poet club."

been on [poetry free for all] for a while but its got too much personal and nasty critiques now that its no longer fun, I am pleased I found this one.

I used to visit more, but I found where I feel I fit in most, so currently my internet home is poet club

I haven't been an active member of another poetry site since Coffee House Poetry was created and then of course Poet Club was reborn. Before that I was active breifly at another site that no longer exists. And then before that, there was Poet Club One. Before that...lol...there were several poetry forums that I was active at for quite some time. But since Poet Club came about, it has been my home.

I post at another three sites.

My main one, I've been there since 2000 and I've got just over 5100 posts.

The other is an invitation-only site.

And the third, I don't know why. Different perspective, I guess.

They're all different, everywhere has a different *feel* to it.

I used to be able to answer this with so many other sites. But as time has gone on, I found that I did not enjoy other sites, they never had what I wanted. I like friendly sharing and communictaing with others that write for the pleasure of writing, not business. When I figured that out, I started my own and stuck with it. Then John showed up on my site and the rest is history because I am here. These boards are very much like mine and I am finding the people rather interesting and awsome here.
